This beautiful, imposing house needed a garden which reflected its scale and had beauty and drama but was easy to care for and fairly tough with children and dogs running around.  The end of the garden was turned into a woodland gravel garden with multistemmed birch and ferns, we created a sunny gravel seating area surrounded by elegant but tough 'Kew Gardens' roses and then 'eyebrow' beds near the house to create drama and give an enclosed feel to the seating area planted with grasses, rosemary hedges, shrubs and sedum.
